You Are What You Eat

I know it's been a long time since you've heard from me and for that I am sorry. I have been quite busy with the planning of my bootcamp for women, which by the way is going GREAT! Also I have been preparing for my graduation which is actually a day from today.

I am graduating college!!! While I'm not surprised this is something truly special to me and to my family and it's still not hitting me.

Well when sunday is over I will be officially a College graduate. I put in the time and effort in the books to get to where I am and I thank God for that.

Now onto serious business. Everywhere you go there are commercials claiming that you can eat what you want and lose weight.

While this sounds nice, it really is a catch. If we could eat what we want anytime and get lean then there would be no need for nutritionist and personal trainers. But the reality is we MUST work to get the look we want.

You cannot eat what you want all the time and get the results you've been busting your ass for time and time again. You have to make changes. After all it was once said by Anthony Robbins that " If you do what you've always done you'll get what you've always gotten".

In order to get results with your training you are going to have to change the way you eat. Does this mean that your favorite meal goes bye bye, NO!

What this means is that you are allowed to have a cheat day so you can avoid the cravings but take away this one rule when it comes to losing fat by eating:

Remove processed foods and eat 5-6 small meals a day.

Why? Because non-processed foods have the nutrients your body needs to keep your body functioning and eating 5-6 times a day will ensure that your metabolism stays high, which we need to burn fat.

Also do not forget to engage in physical activity. If you are a women who lives in Brooklyn, then Erase your Fat fitness camp brought to you by yours truly, most certainly will get you there.
